Mission/Purpose Statement

”The  Rock” Christian Youth Center is committed to  developing facilities and providing
opportunities for youth to grow in their Christian faith.


“The Rock” Youth Center Core Values

The Rock strives to be a Christ-based, inter-denominational youth center that shows
forth the Love of Christ to the Norton county area.

The Rock strives to provide a safe and accepting environment, free of tobacco, alcohol
and illegal drugs.

The Rock strives to provide an atmosphere where youth can be encouraged in their faith
and in turn encourage their home church.  Un-churched youth will be encouraged to
become a member of a local congregation.

The Rock strives to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the youth in a culturally
relevant way while maintaining the historical truths of the Christian faith.

The Rock strives to help each youth to realize his or her uniqueness and special God
given abilities that each alone possesses.

Activities:

Here are a few things we have and are planning:

 

1.    Big Screen TV Area:

·  For relaxation and connecting with other people.

 

2.    Video Game Area:

·  To provide an exciting area for those who enjoy video games.  We can hold competitions and other events.

 

3.    Board Game Area:

·  Too keep a variety of board games available for those who would rather play these types of games.

 

4.    Table-top Game Area:

·  Dedicated area for pool tables, foosball, ping pong, and others.

 

5.    Caged Basketball Area:

·  625 square foot enclosed basketball court.

 

6.    Stage Area:

          400 square foot stage for music and worship, guest speakers, karaoke, announcements, and many other events and purposes.

 

Food Service

1.      A small kitchen and snack bar area will be on site.

2.      Food and beverages will be sold to the youth.

                3.      Minimal food preparation on site. (This allows us to cut the cost of construction and upkeep.)

4.      Partnership between local restaurants will be actively sought.
